edid-decode software package provides Decodes to text the binary EDID information from monitors, you can install in your Debian 9 (Stretch) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install edid-decode
edid-decode is installed in your system.
Make ensure the edid-decode package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep edid-decode *
You will get with edid-decode package name, version, architecture and description in a table
